Testnet faucets
Test tokens for development. Faucets go offline constantly and most now require an account or a
mainnet balance — that requirement is listed for each one rather than discovered after you click.
Testnet tokens are worth nothing. They exist to test contracts. Anyone offering
to buy them, or asking you to pay to unlock a faucet, is running a scam. Real faucets never ask
for payment and never ask for a seed phrase.

Why faucets ask for a mainnet balance
Because unlimited free tokens get drained by bots within minutes. Requiring a small real balance,
an account, or browser proof-of-work makes farming expensive enough to leave something for actual
developers. It is annoying and it is also the only reason any faucet still works.
If nothing works
- Bridge instead. For L2 testnets, getting Sepolia ETH and bridging is more reliable than any L2-specific faucet.
- Try the proof-of-work faucet. pk910's Sepolia faucet asks for computation rather than credentials.
- Ask in the chain's Discord. Most have a faucet channel where maintainers top people up.
- Run a local chain. For contract development, Anvil or Hardhat gives you unlimited funded accounts instantly and needs no faucet at all.
